XPress Annotation & Whiteboarding Application
The focus for this update was on how users present their lessons in XPress. Not only on computers, but specifically with the Recordex SimplicityTouch IFP. We know users put so much effort into building lessons, that sharing them should be the easy part! What resulted is a new presentation mode and updates to the tools that we love the most. Now, presenting in XPress should feel more natural, familiar and simpler with this update. Learn more about XPress here: https://recordexusa.com/xpress/
NOTE: XPress is pre-installed on the SimplicityTouch (to ensure you are using the latest version of the pre-installed application, open the SimplicityApp Store application on the panel). It is also HIGHLY recommended to install XPress on your PC or Mac computer. The desktop version of XPress for Mac and Windows offers more features and is the optimal environment for creating lessons. New Features in XPress version 2.17
Presentation Mode
New with XPress version 2.17 is Presentation mode. Make your lessons the focus, by removing distractions. Presentation mode allows users to instantly turn XPress fullscreen. It hides the annotation tool bar, and puts the focus on the presentation tool bar.

Clickthrough Simplified
We’ve removed some steps to our popular clickthrough mode. Now there’s no need to change the background opacity. Just select the clickthrough button and watch XPress turn into an annotation overlay instantly. Add interactivity to any application or website running in the background.

We also added the ability to use the pen and erase tools without jumping in and out of clickthrough mode. This means no more constant switching back and forth, just a simple annotation tool for all your lessons at the click of a button.
Improved Erase All
The Erase All button will now first detect if freehand annotations are on screen. This now means that your pen and highlighter annotations will be removed first, leaving all other objects on screen. So, wipe away annotations with ease with an improved Erase All!

Other Improvements
- Tap objects without needing to click the select button. Now, double tap a black space to turn off the select tool
- Added a preview when adjusting the pen and highlighter size
- Reconfigured pen sizing options for better usability
- Programming stability and other squashed bugs
Known Issues
- XPress for Windows:
- Fist erase gesture is not always detected
